FAQ

The aim of this website is to bring together research on the emerging CTC community. Below are a few frequently asked questions.

I’m new - where should I get started?

If you are new to CTC, a good place to begin is with foundational work that articulates both its motivation and its methodological implications. We suggest beginning with Berente et al. (2019) and Miranda et al. (2022). Together, these papers provide a conceptual entry point into CTC. Readers may also find it useful to explore more recent empirical exemplars listed on this site to see how CTC is enacted in practice.

What are the criteria for including papers?

The website includes papers that focus on CTC or make a clear theoretical contribution in which computationally-intensive methods are central to theorising. Included papers are published in high-quality information systems or management journals, defined as those listed on the AIS Senior Scholars’ List of Premier Journals.

What are the criteria for including events?

The website includes events that are directly relevant to the CTC community. Both past and upcoming events may be listed, provided they have a clear focus on CTC.

Can I ask to include my paper or event?

Yes. Promoting your own work is welcome, provided that the paper or event adheres to the inclusion criteria outlined above.
